Make your mornings extra special with this simple yet meaningful routine.
Mornings are wonderful. They signify the start of a new day, new hope. Every morning is another chance for us to work on our purpose and to focus on the present moment. When you wake up every day, do you feel joy and gratitude, energized to face the day or do you feel like crawling back into bed, dreading to face the world? Here are three ways to help you feel the former. Practice these easy actions and you’ll be looking forward to each sunrise.
SET AN INTENTION
Setting an intention as soon as you wake up is a powerful practice. It sets the tone for the day. Your daily intentions must be heartfelt and bring forth your purpose. Intentions can be as simple as “be grateful” or “smile” to something a little bit deeper like “surrender everything” or “learn to let go.” Your guiding thought for the day should be brought about by your own thoughts. Intention setting is a powerful way to align your mind and your heart. Oils that will help you with intention setting are Believe™, Envision™, Frankincense, Bergamot, and Idaho Blue Spruce.

BREATHE
R.C.™, Raven™, Breathe Again™, Eucalyptus, and Myrtle are the perfect oils for this practice. Close your eyes and take five deep breaths while placing your hands on your heart. As you take each breath, feel your heart swell and feel the immense joy that comes over you after each breath. As you are doing this commit to doing at least one self-loving act for the day. Do something that makes your soul soar. It could be a guided meditation, a quick run, or even a painting session. Whatever it is, do it for you!

OH JOY
A new day means you’re alive and well! And that’s more than enough to make you jump for joy. What brings you joy? Write down three things that make you feel happy. It could be simple things like chatting with a friend, having your favorite pandesal for breakfast, or when your dog sits by your feet. Joy™, Bergamot, Orange, Tangerine, or Grapefruit are the best oils to use for this ritual. Nothing is too small for feeling joyful. As you’re writing, try to remember the feeling that these bring you. Anytime you’re feeling disconnected, go back to that joyful feeling or read your Joy List.

GIVE THANKS
Being grateful is one of the most powerful forces in the Universe. It’s even stronger when you write down what you are thankful for. Take time every morning to write down at least three things you are very grateful for (you can do this after your Joy List). Oils like Gratitude™, Peppermint, Frankincense, and Peace & Calming™ are the perfect companions for this exercise. No matter how challenging life can sometimes get, there is surely always something to be grateful for. Starting a Gratitude Journal will help you realize what is important to you and will remind you to appreciate the little wins. Through this practice, you will find out and focus on what truly matters to you.
I hope these get your day going and make you excited for mornings.
Thanks for stopping by!
