Mental wellbeing is just as important as staying fit and healthy.
Do you remember the last time you gave yourself emotional and mental support? Here are four ways that will help you find balance. Showing up for ourselves matters, so that we can be our best when we show up for others.
WHY WORRY?
There are moments when an overwhelming sense of worry hits us. Try shifting your mindset. Instead of worrying about something that has not happened and something that might go wrong, focus your thoughts on being excited about something that can go right! When you start to feel worried, try putting Frankincense and Valor on your wrists. This will help calm you. You can also use four drops of Peace & Calming on the palms of your hands, cusp your nose, and breathe.

FEEL LIGHT
Oftentimes, we take the tension from the day with us all the way to bedtime. Even if we’re done for the day, there might still be a tightness in our jaws or in our shoulders. What helps is to set a time every day, when work stops, and stick to that time. One way you can ease tension is by rolling Stress Away on your jaw. You can also diffuse Lavender to help your mind and body relax before bed.

FOCUS
Have you ever felt like a headless chicken, trying your best to get 100 tasks done while attending to 50 other tasks? I think you know exactly what I mean, right? When this happens, it is quite challenging to keep up and focus. Even if we get the work done, most of it is sloppy and half hearted. To be honest, there will never be enough time to finish everything. Something will always come up, whether it’s home errands, work issues, or taking a 30-minute break to exercise, there will never be enough time. Once we know and accept this, we’ll be able to take it easy on ourselves and focus properly. When you get swamped, go back to your center by placing Clarity on your temples.
STAY GROUNDED
Because of social media, we go through so much information every day, every hour, and every minute. Do you sometimes catch yourself mindlessly scrolling your phone? It’s important not to get consumed by what we see, hear, and read. Our mind is endlessly processing all this information we come across and it sometimes feels like we need to come up for some air. The best thing to do is to take a break and take a breath. These oils will help ground you, Sandalwood, Grounding™, Frankincense, Sacred Mountain, Northern Lights, and Black Spruce. You can plant your bare feet firmly on the ground, whether it’s your floor at home or on a patch of earth or grass, then close your eyes and take five deep breaths. Make sure the soles of your feet are completely touching the ground and imagine that there are roots under your feet that go all the way under the earth. You are literally grounding your body, mind, and heart at this moment.

I hope this helps you tremendously. Please also share what works for you!
