Make your home a clean, toxin-free (and happy!) place
Keeping the home clean and tidy is just another task we have on our long list of Things To Do. There are days when our OC-ness takes over and we want everything in its proper place. On other days, when we are just too tired to care about making sure all the dirty dishes have been washed or each and every piece of Lego has been packed away, we simply have to let it go. Another thing, we have been spending so much time at home (and will continue to do so for a while), we should aim to make it the best and only place we want to be at by keeping it clean, free from dirt, dust, bad odors, and nasty toxins. Here are five tried and tested toxin-free recipes to ensure your abode is always clean.
- SPRAY ALL DAY
Make your own Disinfectant Spray with Thieves. Mix 15 drops of Thieves with 15 drops of Lemon, a cup of rubbing alcohol and a cup of water. Use this spray all over your home to keep it free from germs and bacteria. It smells so amazing, too! Tip: For easy access, put the mixture in spray bottles all over your home.

- ODOR AWAY
We all wish our home smelled fresh and clean all day. You can easily achieve this by diffusing four drops of Purification. For spots with unpleasant odors, like trash bins, closets, stuffy storage rooms, and other not-so-good smelling areas, drop Citrus Fresh onto cotton balls and place the cotton balls in those areas.

- FRESH LAUNDRY
Keep your linens smelling fresh and dreamy. Fill a spray bottle with witch hazel (a fourth of the bottle), 15 drops of Lavender, and distilled water then spray onto linens and baby crib sheets for the best sleep ever. You can also add a few drops of Lemon or Citrus Fresh on wool dryer balls to freshen a load of laundry sans the toxic nasties.
- MATTRESS CLEANER
We seldom notice that our mattress gets very dirty because it’s always hidden underneath the bed sheet. Make sure your bed stays super clean by mixing half a cup of water, five drops of Lavender, five drops of Melalueca, 15 drops of Purification, and ¼ cup of Thieves Cleaner. Then, put it in a spray bottle, shake, and spray all over your bare mattress. Let it air dry before you place the bed sheets.

- HAND SOAP FOR THE KITCHEN
Preparing and cooking food means our hands should always be clean. Combine two tablespoons of liquid Castille soap with five drops of each of Lavender, Lemon, and Rosemary to make a delicious-smelling foaming hand soap that you can leave in your kitchen.
