Simple practices you can do that will make a big impact on your mental health.
They say being a mother is the hardest job there is. They say it’s equivalent to working three jobs. Do you agree? The bottomline is we simply want to create the best life for our family, for our kids. For us to be able to do that, we need to create the best for ourselves. But how? We boost our health, get good sleep (yes, it’s possible!), and do a check on our emotions every so often. And do not say, “I do not have time!” Create an easy routine that will make you feel great every day.
SLEEP TIGHT
“Once the kids are asleep, that’s when I catch up on work,” does this sound like you? I know this scenario quite well. I’ve done it countless times. The importance of good quality sleep cannot be emphasized enough. It equates with good health and a wonderful mood. To get the best sleep, try diffusing Lavender in your bedroom 30 minutes before you sleep. You can also put a few drops on your pillow and you’ll sleep like a baby. Make it a nightly practice! Aim to get at least seven hours of quality sleep. If you can’t sleep for seven hours straight, make up for lost time by taking naps.

STAY STRONG
Your immune system that is! When your health is great, your mind and body are, too. You can work well and focus. One way to boost your immune system is to eat clean and stay away from toxins, including stress. You can also use Thieves oil by applying it daily to support and aid the immune system. Two very effective areas to massage are the feet and up along the spine, or apply it to the chest over the lungs. Make sure to dilute Thieves with a carrier oil, especially when applying on your chest and other sensitive areas.

DON’T WORRY
As Mothers we constantly worry about our children, about their future, about what’s happening in the world. When we get worried or stressed, our kids can also feel it. When these moments come up, I use Valor oil on my wrists, Frankincense on the crown of my head, and Joy over my heart.

CLEAN UP
A dirty, messy space is definitely not okay for your physical and mental health. When your space is filled with clutter, energy has no room to flow properly. And when energy has no room to flow, it becomes stagnant. This stuck energy is what makes us feel irritable, anxious, and even stressed. Make it a daily practice to clean up and clear the clutter. ! You can use Thieves Household Cleaner and add Citrus Fresh or Lemon for a fresh, clean aroma. A tidy space allows you to be productive and keeps you cheery!

GET UP AND MOVE
Moving your body not only improves your disposition, but also helps combat anxiety and depression. It puts you in a good mood! If you’re not into working out, you can do practical movements like walk around the village, do easy yoga poses, or dance in your room. Panaway helps with muscle tension for those challenging workouts, Breathe Again is great for the lungs, and Peppermint for an energy boost during those lazy days.
I hope these easy-to-do ideas help make you feel better. When we are feeling great, everyone around us will feel the same way, too!
